GENOVATE is an action research project that aims to tackle gender inequality in research.
The project has outlined several areas of intervention concerning the working life of researchers and female researchers, from recruitment, to career progression, reconciliation with family life and the desire to enhance diversity as a source of enrichment both in research and in innovation.
Six European universities with different experiences in approaching the gender issue participate in GENOVATE. Each addresses these issues, with the support of collaborators and stakeholders, by developing its own Action Plan for Gender Equality (GEAP) built, where possible, on existing structures and criteria, or else by developing new practices and systems.
