The protection of health and well-being is one of the missions of the University of Naples Federico II, pursued through a large and diversified portfolio of initiatives aimed at preventing disease and improving the quality of life. Great attention is paid to the support of vulnerable subjects, to the active involvement of patients, to rare diseases and those with a high social impact and to rare diseases.
The initiatives include awareness, dissemination and prevention events for the general public, clinical trials (epidemiological studies and studies for the identification of new biomarkers, new therapeutic targets, new drugs and medical devices), psychological support activities, and academic entrepreneurship (patents , spin-offs, third parties).
The University of Naples Federico II carries out these activities through the Federico II University Hospital and collaborating with various structures in the area.
The activities of the CUS Napoli, the University Sports Center of the Neapolitan universities, are also included in the activities aimed at the protection and promotion of well-being and health.
